Fits different, hits different

Wasn't sure what to expect vs a normal black/white Chuck 70, since the product features were a bit vague - but I'm impressed. The default cushioning for all modern Converse is pretty good, while the "Amped" cushioning on this model is excellent. Bouncy, almost? Makes me feel like I wanna keep moving. Appreciate the wider fit too, I feel a little embarrassed wearing Chucks because the ball of my foot is wide, so they tend to look fat...these don't do that, can't tell. Engraved stars on midsole are a nice touch; eyelets are well-finished, no rough edges; canvas is tough. Weight is lighter than a regular 70 while still feeling sturdy. Only dissonant note is the laces, which are a bit too short? Can't lace all the way up without pulling really tight. Sizing is same as the regular 70 or a default CT All-Star hightop (so half size less than other brands, normally I am 7.5M/9W, in Converse it's 6.5M/8.5W). 5 stars, recommended.

Oddly enough, these were too small. It says to order down, I ordered regular size and it was too small. Weird? Yes. haha. But they are cool and we ordered a larger half size.

Classic Staple

I love these Chucks. They’re a reliable classic and a great update to the staple I keep in my closet. The cream color is the perfect neutral and really versatile. I wear a lot of black so this shoe is a nice contrast. Runs true to size for me, but I have a wider foot so it may be a bit oversized for someone more narrow. The canvas is sturdy but comfortable, and same for the laces. (I’ve had a lesser pair of laces snap before, I don’t think that will ever happen here.) The details are nice, I like the chucks emblem, and the classic trim color. All in all, highly recommend!

Fun, classic shoe

I love a reimagined classic, so I was excited to check out these Chuck 70 X shoes. They have a cushy sole that doesn’t need much breaking in and supports the foot well. I took a chance on the yellow shade and they’re so cool in person! I like the thick canvas material that the shoe is made of and the laces seem substantial (not overly thick, but also not too thin and seem durable). I love the detailing on the sole, especially the little star. This is such a fun twist on a beloved shoe and will be getting a ton of use!
