How to Clean
Converse Shoes

An easy step-by-step guide to safely cleaning your Chucks.

Getting Started

Step 1: Create a cleaning solution by mixing a little bit of mild dish soap with lukewarm water.

Caution: When attempting to clean your Converse shoes, please test the cleaning solution on a section of the shoe that is not visible, such as the outer edges of the tongue. This is to ensure that the mild soap used does not affect the color or material.

Step 2: Clean shoelaces by removing and placing them in the cleaning solution to soak.

Step 3: Clean insoles by removing and gently rubbing with a cloth, sponge, or soft brush using the cleaning solution. Set aside to dry.

Step 4: Clean the upper shoe based on the material.

Canvas Shoes : Using your soap mixture, gently rub the canvas with a damp cloth or soft brush. DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR DRY.

Leather Shoes : Using your soap mixture, gently rub the leather with a damp cloth or soft brush. DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR DRY.

Suede Shoes : Brush away dirt with a suede brush, when dry. DO NOT USE WATER. DO NOT MACHINE DRY.

Step 5: Clean the rubber sole by gently rubbing with a cloth, sponge, or soft brush using the cleaning solution.

Step 6: Air Dry & Re-Lace

Drying: Dry at room temperature, stuff with paper towel to help maintain the shoe shape. Change paper occasionally throughout the drying process. To prolong the life of your shoes, DO NOT APPLY DIRECT HEAT.
