Placing An Order
All orders placed through the Website are subject to Converse's acceptance. In order to place an order on our Website, you must be 13 years of age or older and be a consumer - not a reseller.
You need an e-mail address to place an order, and you need to set your browser to accept both cookies and pop-ups in order to make full use of the Websites, which includes designing items, adding items to your shopping cart and checking out from our stores. You must also have Flash downloaded to design your own sneakers. Placing an order on the Websites is easy.
- Find the product(s) you want.
- Add the product(s) to your shopping cart.
- Proceed to checkout.
- Select delivery and billing options.
- Review your order.
- Submit your order.
- Receive an online order confirmation.
You are bound by your order once you have clicked the ”Submit order” button at the end of the ordering process. By clicking the ”Submit order" button, you send your order to us as it is displayed in the final check out screen. Once we have received your order, an automated confirmation of receipt will be displayed on the Website, which contains your order number and the details of your purchase. The purchase agreement has now been concluded.
A copy of the automated order confirmation will be sent to your e-mail address. We strongly suggest that you print or download this copy for future reference.
Your account may be deleted without warning if you misrepresent your age, whether older or younger. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you must obtain your parent/guardian's permission to register for the Website and post User Generated Content.
We explicitly reserve the right not to accept your order, or to cancel the purchase agreement after the automated order confirmation. This means that Converse may refuse to accept or may cancel any order, whether or not the order has been confirmed, for any or no reason. If your credit card has already been charged for an order that is later cancelled, Converse will issue you a refund.
We also reserve the right to cancel any purchase (an order already accepted by us) in (amongst others) the following situations, without being liable for any damage or costs:
- the product is not available / in stock (any payments will be refunded);
- your billing information is not correct or not verifiable;
- your order is flagged up by our security systems as an unusual order or an order susceptible to fraud;
- your bank transfer payment is not received within 12 calendar days after acceptance of your order;
- we have reason to believe you are under 13;
- we have reason to believe that you are a reseller;
- there was an error in the price quote;
- we could not deliver to the address provided by you.

Data Check
When you send us your order, we may run some checks on it before it is fulfilled. These checks may include verifying your address, creditworthiness, and checking for fraud. As to the latter: we run partly automated checks on all purchases to filter out unusual or suspect transactions, or transactions which can be identified as susceptible to fraud. Suspected fraud on the Website will be investigated and if necessary prosecuted. By submitting your order, you agree to this.
Payment Methods
We accept the following forms of payment: American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and PayPal.We do not accept International Credit Cards at www.converse.com. If you have an United Kingdom credit card, you may shop at www.converse.co.uk.

About Design Your Own
By designing your own sneaker at Design Your Own, you are the ultimate designer; you create the perfect pair. Start by picking a pair of sneakers that you can customize, then proceed to make them your own.
Billing Information
Orders placed can only be processed with a U.S.-issued credit card shipping to a U.S. street address. Your credit card will be charged prior to the shipment of your Design Your Own order.
Large Orders for Events or Promotions

Personalization Policy
For most Design Your Own products, you may submit a combination of letters, spaces, or numbers for a personalization that will appear on your Design Your Own product. While we honor many personal IDs, we cannot honor every one. Unfortunately, at times we must decline personal IDs that may otherwise seem unobjectionable. If your personal ID is declined, your order will be cancelled and you will be notified via email. A personal ID may be declined at Converse's sole discretion, including, but not limited to, any one of the following reasons:
- It might violate another party's trademark or other intellectual property rights. These may include words, phrases, celebrity names, and even certain color combinations when used in connection with particular words or geographic designations.
- It contains profanity, inappropriate slang, might be considered insulting or discriminatory, might be construed to incite violence, or may simply contain material that we do not wish to place on our products
- Converse reserves the right to cancel any personal ID after it has been submitted.
United States Orders
Quantities may be limited as we grow to support this new method of delivering truly personalized products.
International Orders

Shipping Information
Design Your Own orders are shipped direct from our manufacturing facilities. Our shipping method is via UPS services. UPS will not deliver to P.O., APO, or FPO Boxes. For more information on shipping timing, or costs, please call (888) 792-3307.
UPS Expedited
Design Your Own orders deliver in 2 to 3 weeks after successful processing for orders up to 35 pairs. For more information on shipping timing and costs for orders more than 35 pairs, please call (888) 792-3307.
U.S. Sales Tax
Sales tax applies to the state where the merchandise is being shipped. Since Converse makes its products available for sale throughout the entire United States, sales tax must be added to your order at your local sales tax rate, where applicable.
